Best wishes to all of you who will be welcoming this method of transportation tomorrow morning.
And also to all those whose transportation isn't yellow with 50 anxious children in it, but rather a smaller version maybe a white, blue, green minivan, suv, small sedan ~ best wishes to you all as well.
And to all the mom's who will meet that bittersweet moment of pure elation and joy of freedom while fighting back the tears of having to "let go" another year - a very special "Happy Day" wishes to you.

So, I've gotta question.
Since your "commute" to school is from the bedroom to which ever room has been designated your in-home classroom, do the teacher and the students get to wear their jammies?
Another question. Do home schooled children get home work?
GOOD LUCK with the homeschooling.
And happy homeschooling back to you!
I give you credit. I don't think I would/could ever homeschool my boys. First, they're WAY smarter than I am (I could never keep up!), and second, I think there would be MAJOR battles of the will going on and I'm afraid I'd lose!
Good for you, though. You're doing what's best for your family.
I want to cry over referrals for sure but most of my tears this week are for my oldest daughter as she goes into HIGH SCHOOL....where did the time go?????
So glad to hear that I am not the only one dealing with the end of the summer sibling squabbles;)
To answer K1 - I think that 'jammies' could definitely qualify as appropriate dress code for school! As for whether homeschooled kids get home work - that's a tough one. I suppose if they are working on stuff at home that it would all be considered home work. Then again when you are in school, the work is called school work thus they send stuff home to be finished. I guess you could say that homeschooled gets do home work. Okay, now I think I am definitely confusing myself. Definitely not a good start to the year!
Truly Blessed ~ If I can say for the record, I know that my children are in fact much smarter than I am and I truly have no business homeschooling them (rather it should be the other way around-hehehe). AND You aren't kidding about the battles (we won't discuss the tally at this point of the ones I've lost). Yet you know those things in life where you just know you are supposed to do it even if you aren't completely sure why? Let's just say this one is definitely a God thing.
Throughout the middle to end of last school year my 1st and 2nd children both begged me to homeschool them due to on-going issues they had been experiencing at school. I've always taken the approach that we re-evaluate every year what would be the best school situation for all 3 of them (they've been public school up to this point).
Thanks for giving me the credit - I think at times I am rather insane. Yet, at our church 80% of the population homeschool's their children so I feel blessed that I am among experts as well as a huge support base.
And to you - enjoy your time at home with Katiebug!
Thanks for visiting my blog. I noticed that your LID is getting closer! I know it probably gets harder as you get closer, but it must be nice to at least be in the home stretch! Cute post, we actually started school a couple of weeks ago. The carpool is exhausting me!!
Brian & Ruth,
HAPPY 18th ANNIVERSARY!!! Congratulations to you both on making the daily decision to work at your marriage!
We'll be celebrating our 18th next month (so I know what I'm talking about!).
